Dale H. Beers

Dale H. Beers, age 77, of Saegertown went to glory on December 5, 2025.

He was born January 3, 1948 to Charles and Florence Beers of Grand Valley, PA.

He married Sally (Thoma) on May 1, 1971. Together they built a home and life in Saegertown, PA, raising their girls, animals, and many crops.

Dale earned his Associates Degree in electrical engineering from Pittsburgh Institute of Technology. He served a 25+ year career with Alltel Telephone Co. Dale then lent his talents to many organizations both professionally and personally, including The Lions, French Creek Valley Christian School, Hazelett Tree Service, The American Legion and many others. He loved woodworking and making gifts for his loved ones. Dale was a Boy Scout leader, and enjoyed coaching, camping, and hunting throughout his life. He was also an avid reader, reading or listening to thousands of books over his life. A Vietnam Veteran, he was an active member at both the local and county level of the American Legion. His home post was Saegertown American Legion Post 205. He was honored with a Quilt of Valor, which he prized.

Dale leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Sally; daughters Catharine (Matt) Cwanek of Fort Wayne, IN, Linn (John) Murray of Blissfield, MI; three granddaughters, Torilinn, Allison, & Madelyn Cwanek; siblings Robert (Cindy) Beers, Randy (Gayle) Beers, and Sharon (Paul) Savitz; brother in law Richard (Joy) Thoma along with their families.

No words can fully encompass Dale and his life. His humor, creativity, and caring will be missed.

Please join us in honoring his life at visitation on Friday 12/12 from 4-6:30 pm at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, or Saturday December 13, 2025, from 10-11 am at Saegertown United Methodist Church, 620 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will follow at 11 am with Rev. Frank Billman and Rev. Jeff St. Clair presiding. Full Military Honors by Vietnam Veteran's Post 52.

Dale will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dale’s memory to Quilts of Valor, 183 Park Ave., Meadville PA 16335 (write “PA Stitches of Valor” in memo line) or Saegertown Public Library, P.O.Box 871, or Saegertown American Legion Post 205, 775 South Street, both in Saegertown PA 16433.
