Christopher D. “Chris” Bond, of Rocky River, OH (formerly of Meadville, PA) passed away June 20, 2026, at Fairview Hospital ER/ICU with his brother at his side, after several months of a recurring health issue. He was 67 years old.

Chris had varied life experiences, was into martial arts and hanging out and learning about cars at Best Oil garage when he was younger, worked for the refuse & recycling company in Meadville, ventured south to Louisiana with a friend, where he worked on an oil rig, was a truck driver for a while, and made his way back to Meadville before relocating to Ohio to live with his brother, Tim. Various disabilities challenged him, but he was always able to rise above them and live his life to the fullest, never complaining about anything. Though he obtained a CDL license, he didn’t have further opportunity to drive semi-trucks, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of them. He, like his father, was a car and train aficionado and enjoyed collecting model trains and building models of all kinds of vehicles. He lived his life boldly and benevolently, hiking in the Metroparks, going to car shows, arts & food festivals, dining & cooking out, and hanging with his brother and friends. Chris was beloved by everyone who ever met him. Chris & Tim’s father, Clarence, also moved to the Cleveland area to be with his sons, until his passing in 2017.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother Jean and father Clarence, and is survived by his brother Tim and his partner Dallan, and several cousins in various states across the US.
