Cheryl (Gerber) Mace

Cheryl (Gerber) Mace, 79, formerly of Meadville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at Quality Life Services, Mercer.

Cheryl was born at the home of her grandparents in Stoneboro, on February 1, 1947, a daughter of the late William and Roberta (Burdette) Gerber.

She was previously married to Richard Burr.

For many years, Cheryl worked as a secretary in the Pathology Department of Meadville Medical Center. She enjoyed knitting and reading romance novels. She loved her family deeply and was always present for them, especially her sister. She would do anything for anyone. She will be missed.

Cheryl is survived by two sons Shawn Burr (Jessica), Todd Burr; five grandchildren Aden Burr, Christopher Burr, Justin Burr, Andrew Burr, Kaleb Burr; sister Lynn Olshavsky (Pete); nieces and nephews Christina Koch (Chuck), Dr. Peter Olshavsky (Joyce Raybuck), Dr. Nick Olshavsky (Dr. Leanne Olshavsky), Kandi Ketcham (Jim), Chris Mook (Barbara); dear friends April Konig, and Lea Marshall.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where funeral services will follow at 6 PM, with Pastor Jeff Conley officiating.

Cheryl will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
