Catherine M. (Hock) Waite

In loving memory of my beloved mother, Catherine M. (Hock) Waite, who passed away on April 25, 2025, and who will be sadly missed by her son, Michael E. Waite.

Catherine was born in Meadville on November 23, 1941. She was the wife of Robert E. Waite for 47 years. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her father Martin J. Hock, mother Virginia Hock, a sister Patricia Valdez of California and a brother Fred Hock of Yuma, AZ.

In addition to her son Michael (Suzanne), she is survived by a sister Virginia Korn of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers Joseph Wolffe of Phoenix, AZ, Martin J. Hock, Jr. of CA, several nieces and nephews.

She attended St. Brigid grade school, Meadville High School but graduated from South Gate High School, South Gate, CA. A few years after graduation she and her husband, Robert, moved back to their home town of Meadville. Catherine enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She loved working in her flower beds, feeding the birds and chipmunks. In all she was a great animal lover and loved the outdoors.

Private services will be held.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
