Carol M. Tartaglione

Carol M. Tartaglione, 90, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Meadville Medical Center.

Carol was born in Meadville, on August 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (DeSantis) Montana.

On June 6, 1953 Carol married Joseph C. Tartaglione; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2025.

Carol was a graduate of Meadville High School and attended Allegheny College. Over the years she had been employed by the former Crawford Store, Wolf's Hardware, as general manager of WMGW/WZPR Radio Station, as Regional Sales Manager of Freeway Holiday Inn which included the Meadville, Clarion, Brookville, New Kensington and Butler communities and wrote for the Allegheny Alumni Magazine. Carol was an avid reader, loved playing cards with family, playing Mahjong with Madelyn, Ruth and Silvia and volunteering at Wesbury, teaching computer classes. Carol 's greatest enjoyment came from the time spent with her family. She was very proud of them.

Carol is survived by three children Susan Walker (Richard), Sally Ann Forcier, Mark Tartaglione (Jennifer); eight grandchildren; Erik Minman (Jennifer), Amanda Joyal (Chris), Lt. Col. Tobin Walker USMC (Jen), Mark Walker (Tor), Danie Gooding (Ben), Joseph Tartaglione (Katy), Callie Tartaglione, Alex Tartaglione; nine great grandchildren McKinley Minman, Kennedy Minman, Timberley Joyal, Moira Walker, Nevin Walker, Mavis Walker, James Gooding, Joshua Gooding, Boston Lundan; three step grandchildren Jameson Walker (Kristin), Sarah Walker Mattocks, Christopher Joyal; 11 step great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Joe, of 71 years, Carol was preceded in death by a son in law Tim Forcier, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 PM.
