Bernard "Bernie" L. Mosbacher

Bernard "Bernie" L. Mosbacher, 80, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at home.

Bernie was born in Meadville, on June 2, 1941, a son of the late Merle and Florence (Rhoades) Mosbacher.

On November 4, 1967, Bernie married Kathleen J. Ramoska; she survives.

He was an active member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, and of their Men's Club. His faith meant a lot to him and it was a part of his everyday life. It was important for Bernie to give back to the Catholic community and he did so with a willing spirit. He felt strongly about having a Catholic presence in the area. Among other things, he worked the Catholic Booth at the Crawford County Fair; he maintained the Catholic Shrine on Rt. 19; and he helped to set up the creche each year at Diamond Park.

Bernie was a tool and die maker, retiring from Tech Tool in 2006. A veteran, Bernie entered the US Army on May 26, 1960 and served his country honorably until May 27, 1963. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, of 54 years, Bernie is survived by a son Steven L. Mosbacher of Meadville; four grandchildren Brandon Mosbacher, Kyle Mosbacher, Lacey Mosbacher, Sarah Mosbacher; a brother Ronald Mosbacher (Kathleen) of Meadville; a sister in law Sonja Mosbacher of Meadville; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Merle Mosbacher and Florence Mosbacher Stellato, Bernie was preceded in death by a brother James Mosbacher.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-6 PM on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 5:30 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 26, 2021, at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Joe Petrone, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Bernie will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.
