Anthony "Tony" S. Boca

December 4, 1969 — April 30, 2025

Meadville, PA

Tony joined his dad Anthony, his father-in-law Harry, and twin granddaughters Alivia and Alexandra in Heaven on April 30, 2025.

Tony was born to Marilyn (Thomas) Boca and the late Anthony R. Boca in Meadville. He attended Meadville schools, and graduated from MASH in 1988.

According to Garth Brooks "Pushing Up Daisies" - "There's two dates in time that they'll carve on your stone and everyone knows what they mean. What's more important is the time that is known and that little dash in between - That little dash in between." Tony lived that little dash with gusto!

After marrying Darla Wimer in Las Vegas on April 1, 2003, they built a life in Meadville. He was there supporting son Nick Kightlinger during his baseball and football days and coaching daughter Jordan Boca-Wimer through her high school basketball seasons and cheering on her softball team. Tony's pride grew with the addition of Nick's wife Danielle and being known as 'G Daddy T' to their children Savannah & Bryson. Jordan's girlfriend Chelsea completed his family.

He volunteered throughout his life by serving Vernon Central Hose as a firefighter, coaching Vernon Little League, and as a member of Crawford Lodge 234. Tony was very active with the Western Meadville Chamber of Commerce serving as President and board member. Tony cultivated so many friendships along the way, where his easy going personality and witty sense of humor made those friendships bloom. Excelling at golf, Tony was a regular at Whispering Pines and many golf outings throughout the summer, often sporting his favorite lime green polo shirt. Tony was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, cheering on the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins through all their ups and downs. Tony and Darla traveled whenever possible, enjoying the Caribbean, Mexico and their favorite place, Las Vegas!

While he wasn't enjoying the finer things in life - Tony worked hard for his family. He previously worked at Montgomery Wards, several staffing agencies in the area, and most recently at Bayshore Homes where Jean, Jim, Jayne and Jacob became an extension of his family.

Survivors also include mother-in-law Myrna Wimer; sisters Stacie Keyes (Bryan), Maria Hair; niece Karlee Wimer (fiance David Beusch); nephews Jacob Boca, Doak Wimer; brother-in-laws Bob Wimer (Beth) and Dale Wimer (Diana).

Visitation is from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Tony will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made to Meadville High School Girl's Basketball Program, 930 North Street, or St. James Haven 779 N. Main St., both in Meadville, PA 16335, or Greenwood Fire & Rescue, 15444 PA 285, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.

While his time here was way too short, Tony's dash will be a daily reminder of his incredible life.
