Anthony Charles Durkoske, Jr.

It is with Heavy hearts that we share the passing of Anthony Charles Durkoske, Jr. Anthony, 58, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Meadville Medical Center.

Anthony was born in Pittsburgh, on July 23, 1968, a son of Judith E. (Kryl) Desormeux and the late Anthony C. Durkoske.

Anthony had a big heart and was always giving to others. He loved nothing more than spending his time with friends and family. He was a funny storyteller and his radiant smile drew everyone in. Anthony also loved simple adventures, especially taking long peaceful drives out into the country to see the sights. When Anthony was not on the road, you could often find him searching for hidden gems as he was an avid collector of coins and antiques. Anthony chose to see the light through his darkness, as he fought a courageous battle with schizophrenia for most of his life. Anothony touched many lives of the people that provided care and support for him such as Meadville Medical Center, Meadville Behavior Health, Local police and EMTS, Crawford County Human Services, and the Compassionate staff at Hand in Hand.

Anthony is survived by his mother Judy Desormeux of Lake Worth, FL; a sister Tammy Reese (Marlin) of Albertville, AL; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Anthony Durkoske, Anthony was preceded in death by a sister Tracy Harris.

Anthony will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery West Mead Twp., PA.
