Allan W. Rogers

Allan W. Rogers, 90, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at home.

Allan was born in Bridgeton, NJ, on November 1, 1935, a son of the late Roland and Ethel (Hancock) Rogers.

On August 2, 1958 Allan married Wilma Sandra "Sandy" Brocious; she preceded him in death on April 18, 2023.

He was an active member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee.

Following his 1954 graduation from Paulsboro High School, Allen entered the US Navy on July 21, 1954 and served his country honorably until discharge on June 20, 1958. Most of his service time was spent in Maryland or Newfoundland. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal. After settling in New Jersey and working ten years in the construction industry, he moved to Meadville and established Rogers Plumbing. In 1998 he retired from the family business, making way for his sons Dan and Mark to take over. Allan enjoyed camping with his family and hunting with his sons. In his earlier years he was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and had served as an Assistant Scout Master.

Allan is survived by a son Mark A. Rogers of Saegertown; a daughter-in-law Robin Rogers of Meadville; four grandchildren Cory Rogers, Casey Rogers (Courtney), Kelly Recker, Kyle Rogers (Brianna); three great grandchildren Edyn and Camden Recker, Theodora Rogers; Warren Marks of Conneaut Lake who was like a son; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Sandy, of 64 years, Allan was preceded in death by his son Daniel Rogers and an infant brother.

Family and friends are invited to call on from 11-1 on Friday, January 16, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE, where Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will be held at 1 PM followed by the Funeral Service with Pastor Gary Wade officiating.

Allan will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
