Zita Margaret Orlasky

Zita Margaret Orlasky, 91, of 1120 Market St., Meadville, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at Meadville Medical Center.
Zita was born in Spangler on April 10, 1918, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ellen (Kennedy) Walsh.
On April 27, 1946, Zita married Raymond A. Orlasky; he preceded her in death on July 16, 1991.
She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville, and its Altar Rosary Society.
A homemaker, Zita had been employed by Rolling Fields Nursing Home as a nurses aide from 1976-1987. In 1937 she graduated from Spangler High School. She was a member of VFW Post #2006.
Zita is survived by five children Wanda I. Orlasky of Erie, Michael R. Orlasky and his wife Bonni of Lower Burrell, Joan Schwartz and her husband Peter of Auburn, AL, Margaret Repko and her husband John of Meadville, Patricia Simpson of Meadville, eight grandchildren Alexander Schwartz and his wife Denise, Jay Repko and his wife Kate, Patricia Repko and her fiance Joseph Berkeley, Kate Orlasky, Brandon Schaber, Natalie Simpson, Carol Anne Simpson, Timothy Simpson, her first great grandson Gabriel Raymond to be born in March of 2010, two sisters Leona Dowey of Carroltown, Irene Evans of Langhorne, a sister-in-law Wanda Thomas of Warren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Raymond of 45 years, Zita was preceded in death by four sisters, Kathleen Hudson, Bernadine Colleir, Helen Rescinito, Mary King, four brothers Lawrence, Walter, Paul and Edward Walsh.
Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where a scripture service will be conducted at 3:30.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Peters Cemetery, Conneautville.
