Winifred Mae Brumbaugh, 92, of Saegertown, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Crawford County Care Center.

Winifred was born in Meadville on October 10, 1927, the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Buckley) Thibault.

On August 30, 1947 Winifred married Samuel Merle Brumbaugh; he preceded her in death on June 9, 1984.

She was of the Methodist faith.

An employee in Plant 7 of the former Talon, Inc. for 2 years, Winifred had previously been employed in the maternity ward of the former Spencer Hospital, Meadville, for nine years. She attended Meadville Schools and was a member of the Meadville Eagles Auxiliary, West Mead II Volunteer Auxiliary and had been a former Girl Scout and Brownie Troop Leader in the Meadville area.

Winifred is survived by three daughters Kathleen Bowes, Linda Curley (Paul) both of Saegertown, Shannon Moore (Randy) of Meadville, seven grandchildren Ruth Bowes, Dwight Bowes, Samuel Bowes, Tammy Nesbitt (Tom), Edward Curley (Tristan), Tony Swecker, Erica Howick (Chad), several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Samuel, of 36 years, Winifred was preceded in death by a granddaughter Tracy Backman, two brothers Clinton Thibault, Howard Thibault, two sisters Ella Galbrith and Norma Godsave.

Due to COVID-19, private services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Rev. Jeff Conley, Pastor of Meadville Alliance Church, officiating. Please be present in prayer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date which will be announced.

Winifred will be laid to rest next to her husband, Samuel, in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made in Winifred's memory to the Activities Department of Crawford County Care Center, 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, PA 16433.
