William D. Gray

William (Billy) Dalton Gray, 66 of Conneautville, passed away at home on Monday, January 9, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.


Billy was born in Meadville, on November 18, 1956, a son of the late Thomas and Mattie (Walker) Gray.


Billy was a carpenter by trade and on the Board of Directors of Climate Change, Inc. Billy was so proud of his son Justin whom he had just returned from visiting. He had a passion for his friends who were like family, for cooking, his smoker and HOG motorcycle, for construction, building and working with his hands, and providing meals to the homeless in Erie county.


Billy is survived by a son Justin Spiegel of Scottsdale, AZ, brothers Eddie Gray of Meadville, Richard Gray (Coral) of Orlando, FL, Paul Gray of Meadville, sisters Nita Duncan of Huntsville, AL, Mary Gray of Woodbridge, VA, Doreen Gray of Boyds, MD, Carole Young of Germantown, MD, and a host of nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents Billy was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Gray Jr.


Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 13 at Firehouse Tap and Grille, 875 Park Ave, Meadville. Family and close friends 4-5pm, Open to the public 5-7pm.
