Violet E. Knapp

Violet E. Knapp, 85, a resident of the Crawford County Care Center since June, 2012, formerly of Guys Mills, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Crawford County Care Center.

Violet was born at home in Cambridge Springs on April 22, 1934, a daughter of the late Charles and Bernice (Walters) Beerbower.

Violet had married Robert M. Knapp; he preceded her in death on March 21, 1986. She had previously been married to Robert O. Walker who also preceded her in death.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Violet had been employed as a nurse's aide by Wesbury United Methodist Community and the former Mead Nursing Home. She was a lifetime member of VFW Post #2006 Auxiliary, a member of the former Meadville Button Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed shopping making quilts, crocheting, making crafts, painting and participating in the home's activities. She loved her family deeply and was very proud of all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchild.

Violet is survived by four children Virginia Kralj (David) of Meadville, Philip Walker (Diane) of Meadville, Donald R. Walker (Tammi) of Espyville, A. Timothy Walker of Meadville, six grandchildren David Kralj, Jr. (Margo), Richard Loper (Kerri), Jessica Burr (Shawn), Deanna Walker, Brian Walker (Nikki), Tanya Walker, 13 great grandchildren Andrew (Sarah), Adam, Morgan, Alexis, Loren, Aden, Christopher, Justin, Kyla, Ava, Jamison, Liberty, Laikynn, a great great granddaughter Elliana, a brother Harold Beerbower (Jean) of Meadville, two sister-in-law Donna Beerbower of Florida, Geri Beerbower of Michigan, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents and her husbands, Violet was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara A. Walker, a son R. Eugene Walker, three sisters Peg Proudfoot, Alberta McCartney, Betty Beerbower, five brothers Paul, George, Robert, Lloyd and Ralph Beerbower and infant Carol Beerbower.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 2-4 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral services will be held at 4 PM with Pastor Harold Walton officiating.

Violet will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Randolph Twp.
