Valerie Yvonne Craft

Valerie Yvonne Craft, 59, of 23775 Blystone Rd., Venango, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 7, 2016.

Valerie was born in Meadville, on May 2, 1957, a daughter of Doris Reichel and the late Lester Woge. She was raised by Doris and Hawley Lewis Brown.

On February 20, 1991 Valerie married Robert N. Craft, who, along with her son, Robert Lewis Woge, lives on with the memory of her.

Valerie was employed by Steptoe & Johnson Law Firm, Meadville. She had previously been employed by the former Ricci's Restaurant, Villa Restaurant and Mona Lisa Restaurant. Valerie was a 1975 graduate of Saegertown High School. She was a member of American Legion #205 and Venango VFW Post #169. Her hobbies included reading, making crafts and gardening. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, living out in the country and most of all being with her family. She loved being a grandma and watching her grandchildren grow. Her wisdom and loving nature will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her husband, Robert, of 25 years, Valerie is survived by a son Robert Lewis Woge and his wife Carrie of Guys Mills, four grandchildren Jonathan, Madelyn, Jacob, Megan, her mother Doris Brown of Meadville, her sisters Melanie Mushrush of Saegertown, Molly Brown of Meadville, Betty Swogger and her husband Jim of Saegertown, seven brothers Ralph Woge of Saegertown, Max Woge of Charlotte, NC, Rudy Woge and his wife Shelly of Meadville, Waldo Woge and his wife Missy of Saegertown, Timothy Brown, Terry Brown, Paul Brown, all of Meadville, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to Hawley Lewis "Brownie" Brown, Valerie was preceded in death by siblings Michael Brown, David Brown, Lynette Woge-Sutter and Renee Woge.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad Street, Saegertown, where Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 11th, with Pastor Jeff Bobin of Hamlin Chapel, officiating.

Valerie will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.
