Theresa A. Colantonio

Theresa A. Colantonio, 76, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Theresa was born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 13, 1942, a daughter of the late James and Rose (Sirico) Nespole.

On July 19, 1970 Theresa married Ralph Anthony Colantonio; he preceded her in death on December 12, 2007.

While living in Meadville, Theresa was a member of St. Agatha Church and her home parish in Brooklyn, NY, was Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary/St. Stephen Church. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and very much a part of her every day life.

For many years Theresa was employed as a medical biller for Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. A graduate of Bay Ridge High School, in her earlier years she attended Grammar School PS 142. She enjoyed cooking as well as shopping. Time spent with her family and friends was her greatest joy. Theresa’s grandchildren were her greatest treasures. She will be sadly missed.

Theresa is survived by her son Dr. Anthony James Colantonio and his wife Hope of Meadville, two grandchildren Elizabeth Rose Colantonio, Christian Thomas Colantonio, a sister in law Angie Conenna of Brooklyn, NY, two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Tony Nespole.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 5-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with a Scripture Service at 6:30 PM.

There will also be visitation on Monday, December 3, from 9-10:30 AM at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary/St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 125 Summit St., Brooklyn, NY, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.

Theresa will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ralph, in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY.
