The oldest of six children, Thelma was born at home on Terrill Road in Cussewago Township on May 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Roberts) Schlosser.

On December 23, 1944 Thelma married Arthur N. Miller at the church parsonage in Moisertown, having been transported there by a horse-drawn sleigh due to a snowstorm. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1989.

Throughout her lifetime she lovingly devoted much of her time to caring for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Caring for others in their time of need was a priority for her. She provided physical care for both her parents and her in laws in their aging years. Thelma spent many years devoted to and serving the Lord, for the first eighty years of her life at Carmel Baptist Church, Moisertown, prior to becoming a founding member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Crossingville. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years as well as gardening, canning, baking, doing word searches, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, attending her great granddaughters' volleyball matches, and Starlight peppermints.

Thelma is survived by three children, Ron Miller (Margie) of Crossingville, Sam Miller (Josie) of Middletown, CT, Bev Heiniger of Saegertown, a sister Zola Gillette of Linesville, a sister in law Julie Schlosser of Saegertown, five grandchildren Betty White, Donna Kibbee (Mike), John Miller (girlfriend Clara Simmons), Amanda Collier (Eric) and Sarah Sweeney (Mike) six step grandchildren Becki Heiniger, Paul Heiniger (Christine), Pete Heiniger (Shara), Brian Peterman, Jill Morgan (Tom), Todd Peterman (Jen), four great grandchildren, Daniel Kibbee, Katelyn Kibbee, Michaela Sweeney, Maxx Collier, several step-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
