Stephen Nick Sada

Stephen "Steve" Nick Sada, 83, of Saegertown, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at home.

Steve was born in Greensburg, PA on August 5, 1940, a son of the late Stephen and Anne (Behun) Sada.

On December 23, 1962 Steve married Sandra Camise; she survives.

He was a member of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church, Saegertown.

Steve retired in 2001 as the production manager from Seco Warwick Corp. after 25 years of service.  He previously had been employed by Queen Cutlery, Titusville, as a Materials Manager, and as a Production Control Supervisor at G.T.I. Corporation, Saegertown, Rola Jenson, Punxsutawney, and Jeffers Electronics,  Dubois.  Steve was a 1958 graduate of Bell-Avon High School, Salina, PA, and earned an Associate Degree in Production Technology from Penn State University in 1961.  He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  Steve was a member of Elks BPOE #219, Saegertown American Legion Post #205 and West Mead Fire Hall #2.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing and gardening.  An avid baseball fan, he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and also Penn State Wrestling with his family.  Steve's greatest enjoyment came from attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events.

In addition to his wife Sandy of 61 years, Steve is survived by four children Kathleen Woods (“Samuel" Todd), Theresa Muckinhaupt (Scott), Stephen M. Sada (Crystal), Thomas Sada (Jackie) all of Saegertown; eight grandchildren Alyssa Collins (Spencer), Megan Woods, Joshua Tomiczek (Carrie), Stephen Sada (Abby), Jessie Johnson (Nicole), Scott Sada (fiance' Taylor Morian), Jake Sada, Julia Sada (fiance' Mitchell Wood); three great grandchildren Landon and Luke Collins, Jaxson Sada;  a sister Jean Dippolito of Rillton, PA; a brother John Sada (Kathleen) of Slickville, PA; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 4-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD STREET, SAEGERTOWN, where an Elk Service will be held at 6 PM and a Scripture Service will be held at 6:45 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, February 23, 2024, at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church, Renner Ave., Saegertown with Fr. Mark Nowak officiating.

Steve will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.

Memorial contributions may be made in Steve's memory to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
