Stella M. Dame

Stella M. Dame, 94, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, formerly of 218 Chestnut St., Meadville, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

Stella was born in Oil City, on July 16, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Victoria (Pachlita) Koziara.

In 1972 Stella married James Monroe Dame; he preceded her in death in 1997.

She was an active member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society where she was involved with the Care and Concern Committee and well as the Bereavement Committee.

In 1984 Stella retired from the former National Tel-Tronics where she had worked for 20 years. She had previously had been employed by the former Talon Inc. for 15 years. Stella attended schools in Oil City and Conneautville. She was a member of the Y.M.C.A and the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed making arts and crafts, reading, walking, traveling and playing cards, especially 500 bid.

Stella is survived by a daughter Christine Barth of Plymouth, MN, six grandchildren Michael, Jim, Jeff, John, Shawn, Nichall, four great grandchildren Jack, Ben, Jessie, Joel, a brother Richard Koziara and his wife Victoria, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, James, of 25 years, Stella was preceded in death by siblings Casmir Koziara, Edmund Koziara, Bruno Koziara, Virginia Bean, Helen Helfrick, Josephine "Jo" Peterson and infant twin brother and sister.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 5-8 PM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor, officiating.

Stella will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.
