Stanley W. Riddle, 69, of 8559 Franklin Pike, Meadville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015, at St. Vincent Health System, Erie.

Stanley was born in Grove City, on December 11, 1945, a son of the late Warren F. and Margaret (Burk) Riddle.

On August 6, 1966 Stanley married Martha E. Bill; she survives.

For many years Stanley ran a welding shop with his son, Charlie. Prior to that he worked as a self employed dairy farmer. A Vietnam veteran, Stanley entered the US Army on October 22, 1965 and served his country honorably until his discharge on August 5, 1967. He was a graduate of Victory Joint High School. He enjoyed hunting. Stanley will be remembered most as a hard worker and as one who loved being with his family.

In addition to his wife, Martha, of 48 years, Stanley is survived by his children Margaret "Peggy" Riddle and her fiance Fred Wasson, Charlie J. Riddle and his fiance Brittany Emig both of Meadville, four grandchildren Adam Riddle, Taylor and Elizabeth Kessler, Dylan Polk, three sisters Jean Walters, Helen Emmet, Lois Shipton and her husband Jerry, a brother Wayne Riddle and his wife Mary Lou all of Grove City, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by a sister Elda Montgomery, two brothers Gail Riddle and Earl Riddle.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
