Sarah Wengerd

Sarah Wengerd, 62, of 29534 State Hwy. 27, Guys Mills, PA, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at her home following a year long battle with kidney cancer.

She was born May 14, 1954 in Tuscarawas County, OH, to the late Henry C. and Ella (Raber) Yoder.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Amish Church.

She is survived by her husband Eli E. Wengerd whom she married on October 14, 1976.

She was a loving and caring mother to her nine children; Daniel (Kim) Wengerd of Akron, OH, Henry Wengerd (deceased), Owen (Lillian) Wengerd of Abbyville, KS, Naomi (Martin) Bickel of Meadville, Ella (Greg) Blanton of Marysville, OH, Rose (Mark) Gochnauer of London, OH, Eli Wengerd, Jr. of the home, Clara Wengerd of the home, Mary Wengerd of the home; three grandchildren Lisa, Sara, Dustin.

She is preceded in death by her son Henry Wengerd, father Henry C. Yoder, brother Christ, father in law Ezra Wengerd, mother in law Fannie Wengerd and brother in law Dannie Wengerd.

She is survived by her mother Ella Yoder, three sisters and five brothers; Bill (Saloma) Yoder of Baltic, OH, Vernon (Betty) Yoder of Millersburg, OH, Katie (Melvin) Mast of Baltic, OH, Elmer (Dorothy) Yoder of Baltic, OH, Harry (Elsie) Yoder of Fresno, OH, Fannie (David) Yoder of Millersburg, OH, Cindy (Philip) Yoder of Millersburg, OH, Joseph (Marilyn) Yoder of Dundee, OH.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 2-8 at the Nelson Yoder residence, 8115 Frenchtown Road, Cochranton, PA. The funeral will be held at the same location on Thursday at 9:30 AM with Bishop Abe Yoder officiating.

Burial will take place in Frenchtown Amish Cemetery, Guys Mills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
