Roland 'Scotty' Scott

Roland 'Scotty' Scott, 100, of 18285 Porky St., Saegertown, passed away Sunday, February 28th, 2010 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Scotty was born in Mammoth, IL on October 6, 1909, a son of the late Emma (Alberts) Scott and Newton K. Scott, Sr.
On October 1, 1932 Roland married Louise C. Steele; she preceded him in death on April 24, 1992.
After 43 years of service, Scotty retired in 1975 from the Processing Dept. of the former FMC where he was a first class mechanic. He enjoyed growing and selling his sweet onions throughout the community as well as collecting and selling hickory nuts. He loved to hunt and fish, especially for muskie.
Scotty is survived by two sons Robert L. Scott and his wife Gloria, Charles R. Scott and his wife Connie both of Florida, two daughters Shirley Manross of Saegertown, Diane Courson and her husband Larry of Meadville, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife Louise of 59 years, Roland was preceded in death by five brothers Bert, Robert, Frank, his twin Raymond, Newton, Jr., four sisters Annabell, Rose, Grace and Dorothy.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, PA 16433 where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 5th, 2010 with Rev. Robert Fuller, Pastor of Little Corners United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Saegertown Cemetery.
