Robert 'Gene' Eugene Walker

Robert 'Gene' Eugene Walker, 57, of 29039 Guys Mills Road, Guys Mills, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 30, 2014, at home.

Gene was born in Meadville, on June 30, 1956, a son of Violet E. (Beerbower) and the late Robert O. Walker.

Over the years Gene had been employed by Snyders as a truck driver and for Benjamin Knickerbocker. While living in Texas he did landscaping. Gene attended Meadville schools. He enjoyed hunting. Although a quiet man, Gene was always willing to do anything to help anyone in need. He loved his grandchildren dearly and loved spending time with them.

Gene is survived by a son Richard E. Loper of Conneautville, two grandchildren Alexis Loper, Morgan Rotkovecz, his mother Violet E. Knapp of Saegertown, a sister Virginia Kralj and her husband David of Meadville, three brothers Phillip Walker and his wife Diane of Meadville, Donald R. Walker of Espyville, A. Timothy Walker of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father Robert O. Walker, Gene was preceded in death by his step father Robert M. Knapp and a sister Barbara A. Walker.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 2, 2014, from 4-6 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM.
