Rilley Mae Thompson

Rilley MaeThompson, 72, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at home.

Rilley was born March 4, 1950, in Meadville, a daughter of the late Luther G. and Blanche Anne (Taggart) Thompson.

Rilley attended Meadville Area Senior High School. While living in Elyria, OH, she was employed as a home health aide for nine years. She would later return home to Meadville to assist with taking good care of her mother. Rilley had many friends and many would say she could light up the room with her presence. When she laughed you knew who it was, and her laughter was contagious. She was a loyal friend, a good mother and had a heart of gold. She was loved by many. She will be dearly missed.

Rilley is survived by three children Tarenza Peterson, Sabrna Thompson, William Bivens; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings Bernard Thompson, Garnetta King, Alice Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rilley was preceded in death by siblings Russell Tynes, Clarence Thompson, Bobbie Thompson, Billy Thompson, and Bernice Thompson.

A Home Going Service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 6 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. A repass dinner will be held at McClure's Fish House, 964 Park Ave., Meadville, following the service.

Rilley will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home.
