Richard "Dick" Enoch Logsdon, 85, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.

Dick was born at home in Guys Mills, on July 6, 1931, a son of the late Owen and Ruth (Watson) Logsdon.

On September 22, 1951, in Townville, Dick Married Maxine R. Flint; she preceded him in death on November 10, 2009.

For many years, Dick was employed as a Tool and Die Maker by various area Tool Shops, retiring in 1988 from Pasco Tool and Die. He had previously been employed as a meat cutter. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Dick entered the US Army on October 2, 1952 and served his country honorably until his discharge to the Army Reserves on October 1, 1954. He was stationed at Ft. San Huston, TX. Dick was a member of Cochranton Masonic Lodge #0790, Kismet Grotto of Meadville, VFW Post #2006, American Legion Post #111, Elks BPO #219, West Mead and Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept. Dick loved to golf and for many years made clubs and grips for many people in the community. His other hobbies included hunting, fishing, reading and playing cards. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

Dick is survived by a daughter Linda Astor and her husband Dick, a son Mark Logsdon and his wife Laurie both of Meadville, four grandsons Kyle Astor and his wife Kelly of Saegertown, Ryan Astor and his wife Shelley of Erie, Aric Logsdon and his wife Michelle of Seattle, WA, Logan Logsdon of Conneaut Lake, a step granddaughter Josie Miller of Saegertown, nine great grandchildren Kyler, Kaelynn, Konner and Kayden Astor, Braden, Jordy and Bella Astor, Ivy Kimmel, Zailee Tustin, a sister in law Peg Logsdon of Titusville numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Maxine, of 58 years Dick was preceded in death by three brothers Pete Logsdon, Tom Logsdon, John Logsdon, two sisters Letty Lou Deeter and Betty Rodgers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date which will be announced.

In a private, family service, Dick will be laid to rest with his wife, Maxene, in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville, with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.

Memorial contributions may be made to MARF (Meadville Area Recreation Foundation), 800 Thurston Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
