Penny Lynn White

Penny Lynn White, 76, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Penny was born in Meadville, on August 30, 1940, the beloved only child of the late Martin V. and Betty Jane (Miller) Boyd.

While living in Erie, Penny had been employed in various retail stores and later moved back to Meadville. Most recently she resided at the Mauve Unit of the Crawford County Care Center where she was treated like family by all who cared for her. Penny was a member of CHAPS for many years where she was loved by all. She was an avid walker who loved to dance and sing. She possessed a very nurturing spirit and always offered a big hug. Her beautiful smile warmed everyone's heart.

Penny is survived by two aunts Marilyn Trace, Viola Mosso, both of Meadville and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the Activity Room of the Mauve Unit of the Crawford County Care Center, 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown.

Penny will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the patient fund of the Mauve Wing of Crawford County Care Center, 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, PA 16433.

Special recognition goes out to all of Penny's "extended family" and friends at the Crawford County Care Center as well as CHAPS, especially Lynn McUmber and the late Mary Shaner, all of whom provided great support in many aspects of Penny's life.
