Paul Hargett, 69, of Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at home, surrounded by his family, following a long battle with cancer.

Paul was born in West Virginia, on January 26, 1953, a son of the late Harry and Betty (Robinson) Hargett.

He married Barbara Cap; she survives.

Over the years Paul was employed by various clubs and bars. Following his high school graduation Paul played Single A baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Later in life, he joined the Pro Bowlers Tour and was successful in winning a tournament in Cleveland, OH. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. He was a member of Saegertown American Legion Post #205. His greatest joy in life was spoiling his grandson Nickolas and his mini dachshund Sheba.

Paul is survived by his wife, Barb, of 38 years; two sons Darren of Saegertown, Gregory (Sgt. US Army) of Ft. Detrich, MD; a grandson Nickolas; brother in law John Cap (Jane) of Waterford; sister in law Patty Hargett of Lebanon; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

A special thanks to Dr. Brown and the staff at the Barco Oncology Institute as well as to Dr. Evans and Physician Assistant Aubrey, Dr. Singh and Interim Hospice for the great care they provided over the years.

Per the family's request, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul's memory to the funeral home.
