Patricia Lee Fox of 6004 Franklin Pike, Cochranton, died at home on March 2, 2024.
She was the daughter of Samuel S. and Gladys Livsey Brown.
She was born on June 4, 1931 at the Livsey Family Farm on the Swamp Road (Tamarack Drive) in West Mead Township, Crawford County.
She was the wife of Neil E. Fox, they were married on January 6, 1953.
Patricia started grade school at Neason Hill School when it was just a four-room schoolhouse. She was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a nurse’s aide at Spencer Hospital during high school. She attended Meadville City Hospital School of Nursing and took classes at Allegheny College. Patricia was a member of Saint Brigid Church where she also sang in the choir. She retired from the Physical Therapy Department at Meadville Medical Center in 1992. She enjoyed doing crosswords, scrapbooking, was an avid reader and loved to travel. From an early age, she and her family always took a trip or vacation every year, trying to go somewhere different each time. She traveled to all fifty states, all of the Canadian Provinces as well as Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico. While in Europe on vacations, she spent Easter in Ireland and Christmas holidays in Germany and Austria. She also stayed with a French family in Limages, France, taking side trips to Italy, the Swiss Alps and Liechtenstein. She and her daughter Lisa spent three summers traveling with the Edinboro University International Studies Group in Oxford, England. They enjoyed side trips to Wales, Scotland, Loch Ness, Stonehenge and other historical places in Great Britain.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Neil E. Fox, her son Stephen and her parents.
She is survived by daughter Adrienne (Charles, who unbeknownst to Patricia passed away unexpectedly just hours before she did) Stewart of Canton, OH, son Eric (Tammy) Fox of Meadville and daughter Lisa Fox (Dr. Craig Taylor) of Pittsburgh; eleven grandchildren, Cielo (Shann) Fox of Nevada, Nahani (Drew) Bohan of California, Justin (fiancé Amanda) Badagliacca of Buffalo, Jason (Shelley) Badagliacca of Buffalo, Thomas (Erica) Cox of Erie, Travis (Lindsay) Fox of Meadville, Lindsey (James) Wiard of Meadville, Jessica (Pierce) Hodges of Meadville and Morgan, Kai and Sienna Greilich of Butler; fifteen great-grandchildren Kaia, Dylan, Trevor, Bennett, Natalie, Gia, Frederick, Calvin, Lacey, Tyler, Leah, Joshua, Aurelia, Noah, and Jordy. Also surviving are a sister Gloria Bourque of North Carolina; three nephews, Mark, Kevin and David Bourque; and a beloved niece Rhona Custead of Cochranton.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Friday, March 8, 2024, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:45 PM.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Kyle Seyler, Parochial Vicar, officiating.
Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband Neil in Cochranton Cemetery.
