Patricia A. Ferguson

Patricia A. Ferguson, 86, of Meadville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Meadville Medical Center.

Patty was born in Meadville, on January 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Lynch) Wisgirda.

On December 29, 1977, she married Dr. Cliff Ferguson; he preceded her in death on December 7, 1995.

Patty was a member of The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church, and remained devoted to her faith.

Patty had been employed by the former Weldon's Clothing Store in Meadville, by the former Sylvania in Titusville and The Boys and Girls Club of Meadville. She was an active member of VFW Post #2006 Auxiliary where she volunteered with many of their functions. For many years she participated in the Charity Follies. A former member of the Country Club and Hailwood Golf Course, Patty enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and visiting the casinos. No matter what Patty was doing, she never met a stranger. Her bright personality made her the life of any party, and she loved singing "New York, New York". She treasured her collections of elephants and angels as each one had a special meaning that was close to her heart. Family meant everything to Patty. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Visiting her daughters in Texas, especially in the winter months, and spending the holidays with family brought her much joy. She loved her family deeply and was deeply loved in return. She will be sadly missed.

Patty is survived by two daughters Patsy Wilson (Joseph) of Sugar Land, TX, Cyndi Baily (John) of Missouri City, TX; three grandchildren Holly Frazier (Elliott), Brianna Fenstemaker (Kevin), Connor Baily; three great grandchildren Heidi Frazier, Fritz Frazier, Claire Fenstemaker; seven nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was preceded in death by three siblings Robert Wisgirda, Donald Wisgirda, and Louise Poly.

A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, August 25, 2023 at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas, pastor, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Patty's memory to VFW Post #2006, 1045 S. Morgan St., Meadville, PA 16335.
