Olga A. Bryant, 77, of Meadville, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at home.

Olga was born in Selma, AL on July 28, 1939, a daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie (Green) Glover.

On January 11, 1964 Olga married Donald Bryant; he preceded her in death on January 6, 2003.

Olga was a faithful and active member of St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church for nearly 40 years. Her church life was a part of her everyday life. Over the years she served the church in many capacities. She was a leader among her Sunday School class. A longtime officer and member of the choir, she was a member of the Housing Committee as well as a member of the Pulpit Committee of both Bishop Smith and the incoming pastor. Additionally she served as Director of the Installation Committee and oversaw the paid staff. She was honored to be the first female Trustee in the 100 year history of the church. She served as financial liaison for C.D.C. Olga was instrumental in acquiring two church properties. At the District level she served as Financial Secretary of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Erie District.

The valedictorian of her graduating class of Shiloh High School in Sardis, AL, Olga went on to attend business school in Cleveland, OH. Olga had a 25 year career in banking which included the former Penn Bank, later known as the former Integra Bank and National City Bank. Over the years she completed numerous banking courses. Olga was a member of the Eastern Star as well as a member of the N.A.A.C.P. She was an instrumental part of the Jenny Lee Carter Christian Performance Scholarship. Olga enjoyed cooking, shopping and gardening. She delighted in being a homemaker and raising her family. Her church, children and grandchildren were everything to her. As she enters her heavenly home, she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Olga is survived by two sons Kenneth E. Bryant and his wife Christine of Chapel Hill, NC, Ronald J. Bryant and his wife Alicia of Erie, four grandchildren Michael Bryant, Shawn Bryant, Ron "R.J." Bryant, Camden Bryant, five sisters Barbara Thomas and her husband Jim of Mt. Clemens, MI, Lora Moore Moon of Cincinnati, OH, Joyce Ghorm, Carolyn Glover both of East Orange, NJ, Beverly Tufts of Cleveland, OH, two brothers Leon Glover of Tacoma, WA, Timothy Glover of Cleveland, OH, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Donald, of 38 years, Olga was preceded in death by a daughter Donita Bryant, a brother Lester Glover, three sisters Velma Lee, Doris Linton and Shirley Green.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 5, 2017, from 5-8 at St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, where a Going Home Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, with Bishop Stanley Smith, Pastor, officiating.

Olga will be laid to rest next to her husband, Donald, in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
