Nancy L. Barco

Nancy L. Barco, 95, of 10670 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at home.

Nancy was born in Meadville, on October 5, 1919, a daughter of the late Vito and Jennie (Grippi) Lapuma.

On December 27, 1943 Nancy married Joseph J. Barco; he preceded her in death on December 10, 1989.

She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Nancy is survived by two daughters Jacqueline M. Crowley of Meadville, with whom she lived, Joan Covert and her husband James of Franklin, a son Joseph B. Barco and his wife Liz of Sunset Beach, CA, six grandsons, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Joseph, of nearly 46 years, Nancy was preceded in death by five sisters Frances L. Miceli, Mary J. Headlund, Jane Cross, Josephine Albano, Lee Albano, three brothers Samuel Lapuma, Frank Lapuma and Joseph Lapuma.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11:30 AM-12:45 PM on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Monday at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, officiating.

Entombment will take place next to her husband, Joseph, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
