Mohammed 'Michael' Bahy Elkady

Mohammed 'Michael' Bahy Elkady, 50, of 10288 Hough Rd,. Meadville, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 as a result of a motor vehicle accident along Interstate 79.

Mike was born in Cairo, Egypt on December 5, 1963, a son of Galal and Zeniab (Rashad) Elkady.

On December 23, 1996 Mike married Maria L. Gillespie; she survives.

Mike grew up in New York City, NY and graduated from high school there. As a young man he moved to Erie and established and operated M B Painting and Carpet Care for over 25 years. In 1992 he relocated to Meadville and continued running his business and working throughout the Erie, Sharon and Meadville areas. Mike enjoyed being with his family.

In addition to his wife, Maria, of 17 years, Mike is survived by two sons Michael Bahy Elkady of Punt Cana, FL, Jason Bahy Elkady of Meadville, a daughter Isabella Suria Elkady of Meadville, his father Galal Elkady and his wife Eileen of Queens, NY, and his mother Zeniab Rashad Elkady of Cairo, Egypt.

Private graveside services were held on Friday at Watson Run Cemetery, Vernon Twp.

Arrangements were under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
