Mary Diley

Mary Diley, 71, of 20367 Main St., Highway 86 Venango, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.

Mary was born in Meadville, on December 24, 1946, a daughter of the late Frank and Angie (Robb) Knuth.

On February 4, 1967 Mary married Glenn R. Diley; he survives.

She was a member and past Elder of Gravel Run Presbyterian Church.

Mary retired from Seton Catholic School where was employed as a support staff. She had previously been employed by Penncrest Head Start and the former Humphrey's Dry Cleaners. A 1964 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School, Mary was also a 1965 graduate of Michael's Beauty Academy. She served as a tax collector for Woodcock Boro for 28 years. In her earlier years, Mary enjoyed baby-sitting her nephews and the children of friends and neighbors. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, Glenn, of 51 years, Mary is survived by a son Joseph Diley of Venango, a brother Frank Knuth (Gail) Bridgeville, two brothers in law James Diley (Sharron), Donald Diley (Nancy) both of Saegertown, nieces and nephews Kelly Knuth Faddick, Christopher Robb Knuth, Katie Diley, Daniel Diley, Tracy Diley, Jasen Diley, Shawn Diley, her special friends Zachary Silvis, Lucas Silvis and their families.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by uncles Albert Knuth, Raymond Knuth, Ralph Knuth, Robert Knuth, aunts Bertha Knuth Caldwell and Margaret Robb Beatty.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Gravel Run Presbyterian Church, Highway 86, Woodcock Boro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Marquette Hospic House C/O Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335.
