Mark was born in Meadville, on March 21, 1946, a son of the late Conrad and Joyce (McGill) Haemer.
He married Kristine Dolsen Yeager on February 29, 1992. Together they shared 31 years of life, laughter and love.
Mark graduated from Saegertown High School in 1964, and from Edinboro University in 1968. He spent ten years teaching secondary mathematics at Conneautville High School, where he coached baseball, basketball and football. He then moved into the world of Tool and Die, working for his brother at Haemer Tool and Die, as a tool maker, eventually moving into the office as a quoter.
Mark was a daily fixture at Taylor Hose Company where he thrived on playing gin and cribbage with his many friends. He was an avid golfer, once winning the Club Championship at the Meadville Country Club. He loved to fish, spending countless hours on Lake Erie and the shoreline of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Mark will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.
He will be missed by his step children Jennifer Yeager Lloyd (Greg) of Greenwood, SC, Scott Yeager (Dana) of Saegertown; his six grandchildren Grant and Will Phelan, Lindsey Lloyd, Maxwell, Adaline and August Yeager; siblings Judy McCartney of Saegertown, Christy Clawson (Jeff) of Loveland, OH; Donald Haemer (Mary Ann) of Saegertown; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother David Haemer and his friend and brother in law Dennis McCartney.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club, 10733 Konneyaut Trail, Conneaut Lake. Please RSVP to Mizner Funeral Home if you have not already done so.
