Mark David Shandrick, Sr.

Mark David Shandrick, Sr., 55, of 459 Pine Street Meadville, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center.

Mark was born in Pittsburgh, on May 5, 1961, a son of Vivian K. Popal and the late Frank Michael Shandrick.

He attended several community churches over the years, most recently St. Paul's Reformed Church of Meadville.

Before graduating from Peabody High School, Pittsburgh in 1979, Mark attended Cochranton High School. He spent most of his career working as a chef for nursing homes and pizza restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. A man of many talents, he enjoyed writing poetry, cooking, vegetable gardening and drawing.

Mark is survived by a son Mark David Shandrick, Jr., of Pittsburgh, his mother Vivian K. Shandrick of Cochranton, a brother Frank Shandrick and his wife Nancy of Holt, FL, two sisters Susan Sensabaugh of Cochranton, Teresa Miller and her husband James of Fox Chapel, a half-sister JoAnn Besanson and her husband Ken of Titusville, 8 nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father.

A Memorial Service will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE, PA, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 20th, with Pastor Randy Keeling Senior Pastor of Reash Community Church, Cochranton, officiating.
