Manning T. Freeman

Manning T. Freeman, Sr., 59, of 14714 Park Ave. Ext., Meadville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Park Avenue Rehab. & Nursing Center.

Manning was born in Meadville on January 16, 1956, a son of the late Benjamin T. and Sara J. (Payne) Freeman.

Manning had been a self employed construction worker and handy man. In his earlier years he was employed by the former Abex. Manning was a devoted grandfather to his three grandchildren. He will be most remembered for his caring spirit and eager willingness to help others.

Manning is survived by two sons Manning T. Freeman Jr. and his wife Stacy and their daughter Aureana of Virginia Beach, VA; Michael A. Freeman and his wife Megan and their children Rylee and Cade of Williamsburg, VA; four sisters Janet Kelso and her husband James, Charlotte Furry and her husband William, Virginia Basile, Barbara Bayer and her husband Minor, all of Meadville; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Manning was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ferraro.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30-12:00 on Monday, July 6, 2015 at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, where a Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon with Pastor Temple Jarrell officiating.

Manning will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.
