Leslie Arden Meacham

Leslie Arden Meacham, 88, of Saegertown, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Crawford County Care Center after a two year stay in the Memory Garden.

Leslie was born at home, in Franklinville, NY, on August 5, 1932, a son of the late Orvie and Gladys (Lamb) Meacham.

On February 11, 1950 Leslie married Phylis Kay Miller in Franklinville, NY; she preceded him in death on January 7, 2001.

He was a longtime member and Elder of Gravel Run Presbyterian Church.

A retired tool and die worker having worked in several area tool shops, Leslie was a licensed realtor, owned an auto body shop and also owned "Naturally Yours" Fruits and Nuts. He entered the US Navy at age 16 and falsified his birth certificate to enlist; the Navy honorably discharged him a year later when it was discovered. His passion was restoring antique cars and he was a member of Penn-Ohio Model A Club. Leslie took great pride in keeping his neighborhood mowed and raked. He enjoyed music, dancing, spaghetti and pretty girls.

Leslie is survived by two daughters Linda Crecraft (Gordon) of Saegertown, Cynthia Brown of Meadville; eight grandchildren Stephanie Swanson (Michael) of Guys Mills, Jeremy Meacham (Billie) of Cochranton, Brad Crecraft (Stephanie) of Meadville, James Crecraft (Lisa) of Winston-Salem, NC, Daniel Crecraft of Saegertown, Jesse Kinder, Eric Kinder both of Meadville, Emily Kinder (fiance Alexander Long) of Meadville; 15 great grandchildren Chase, Trenity, Maxwell, Rece, Darianne, Cael, Olivia "Lilly", Joshua, Alexander, Cadence, Matthew, Hailey, Chloe, Alicea, Remington; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife Kay of 50 years, Leslie was preceded in death by a son James Meacham; two brothers Earl and infant Robert; two sisters Lois and Sally.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 3 2020, from 2-5 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 5 PM, with Pastor Alice McClymonds of Pine Grove United Methodist Church officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed with the wearing of masks.

Leslie will be laid to rest next to his wife in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
