Kenneth Ray Morris

Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Morris, 81, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at home.

Kenny was born in Tulsa, OK, on November 13, 1942, a son of the late Rev. John Francis and Ordella (Kiser) Morris.

On March 1, 1969 Kenny married Florence E. Weaver; she preceded him in death on June 6, 1999.

Kenny was a 1960 graduate of Saegertown High School and was a member of Meadville National Guard. He was employed by the former Abex Corporation and following his retirement, drove a truck for the former Meadville News and R. E. Michael Co. He was a former member of VFW Post #2006, and of the the former Meadville Club. An avid sports fan, Kenny loved following the Pittsburgh Pirates. Over the years he coached Saegertown Little League Baseball, ran the score board at Saegertown football games and bowled at the Plaza Lanes. Kenny enjoyed activities at the Cambridge Springs Senior Center, especially playing cards. He will be sadly missed.

Kenny is survived by a son James Morris (Heather), a grandchild Morgan Morris, both of Coatesville; siblings Dan Morris (Helen) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Clark "Dave" Morris (Pam) of Franklin; in laws Kay Weaver of Indianapolis, IN, Grace Collins of Tionesta, Helen Straw of Washington, Mary Browning (Dave) of Meadville; and a special friend Darlene Brown.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Kenny was preceded in death by in laws Don Weaver, Haskell Collins, Jack Straw, Dick Weaver (Mary), and Peggy Schlipf (Ambrose).

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church, 353 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.

Kenny will be laid to rest with his wife, Florence, in St. Agatha Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.
