Kathleen P. Marceau

Kathleen P. Marceau, 84, of 18419 Huson Rd., Saegertown, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017, at home.

Kathleen was born in Philadelphia, on March 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Hugh and Bridget (Malloy) McKeown.  

On September 3, 1955 Kathleen married William E. Marceau; he preceded her in death on July 9, 2013.  

She was an active member of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church, Saegertown, where she had served on the Bereavement Dinner Committee for many years.  

Kathleen retired from Greenleaf Corporation where she had worked in the office for many years. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She was a June, 1951 graduate of the Haverford Township High School, in the suburban Philadelphia area.  Along with her husband, Kathleen enjoyed watching and feeding the birds around their home.  

Kathleen is survived by two sons William E. Marceau, Jr., LTC, US Army, Retired and his wife Dawnya of New Castle, Dr. Michael J. Marceau and his wife Cheryl of Williamsport, six grandchildren Melanie Gibbons and her husband John, William Marceau III and his wife Nicole, Patrick Marceau and his wife Marissa, Mary Marceau, Virginia Wojcik and her husband Matthew, Elizabeth Marceau, ten great grandchildren Dawnya Gibbons, Karl Gibbons, Kathleen Gibbons, Callixtus Gibbons, Xavier Gibbons, Aurora Gibbons, Rafael Gibbons, Leon Gibbons, William Marceau IV, Gabriel Marceau, a sister Maureen Bartley of Philadelphia, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, William, of 57 years, Kathleen was preceded in death by two brothers Robert James McKeown and Hugh "Danny" McKeown.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4-7 PM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 PM.  

A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua, 165 Beach Ave., Cambridge Springs, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 17, with Fr. David Poulson, Pastor, officiating.  

Kathleen will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in St. Agatha Cemetery.
