Joyce I. Haemer

Joyce I. Haemer, 91, of Saegertown, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at Meadville Medical Center.

Joyce was born at home in Hayfield Township, on September 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Carl and Myrtle (Beers) McGill.

On February 18, 1945 Joyce married Conrad R. Haemer; he preceded her in death November 14, 2001.

She was a lifetime member of Saegertown United Methodist Church.

Joyce delighted in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She loved to garden, both flower and vegetable and she did a lot of canning as well as freezing. Joyce made time to fill in as a substitute in the Saegertown school cafeteria when needed. An adventurous person, she enjoyed being outdoors especially hunting, fishing, ice fishing and riding horses. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together. Joyce lived her life to the fullest and was a great example of a life well lived. Her heart was kind and she never spoke negatively about anyone. Her sharp sense of humor highlighted her great smile. She was a blessing to be around and will be sadly missed.

Joyce is survived by five children Mark Haemer (Kristine) of Saegertown, David Haemer of Edinboro, Judy McCartney (Dennis), Donald Haemer (Mary Ann) both of Saegertown, Christy Clawson (Jeff) of Loveland, OH; fourteen grandchildren Julie Haemer Scott (Ed), Melissa Williams (fiance Justin Walker), Betsy Tautin (Michael), Joyce Dilliman (Jon), Carl Haemer (partner Casey Przepiora), Ben Haemer (Tonia), Heather Haemer (friend Christina Cornell), Emma Shetterley (Ben), Sarah Bess (Nick), Bryce Clawson, Steven Haemer, Matthew Haemer (fiancé Jackie Stewart), Jennifer Lloyd (Greg), Scott Yeager (Dana), 19 great grandchildren, a sister Bernice Auell of Saegertown, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a dear friend Ralph "Jim" Watson of Saegertown.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Conrad, of 56 years, Joyce was preceded in death by a baby brother, Donnie McGill.

Due to the pandemic, private family services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD STREET, SAEGERTOWN, with Rev Richard Haemer officiating.

Joyce will be laid to rest next to her husband, Conrad, in Brookhouser Cemetery.
