Josephine R. Ross

Josephine Rose Ross, 97, of Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Crawford County Care Center.

Josephine was born in Pittston, PA, on August 7, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Alu) Baiera.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith and had attended St. Mary of Grace Church, Meadville.

Josephine had been employed by the former Meadville Malleable Iron Company and the former Shoeco. She attended schools in Pittston. Her hobbies included crocheting and sewing.

Josephine is survived by a daughter Patricia "Patty" Kennedy (David) of Meadville, three grandsons Mike, Matt and Nick Kennedy, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by four brothers Charles, John, James and Carmen Baiera, two sisters Mary and Angelina Baiera.

Private family services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Fr. Andrew Boyd, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Josephine will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
