Joseph "Joe" R. Sacco

Joseph R. "Joe" Sacco, Jr., 66, of Cochranton, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Meadville Medical Center.

Joe was born in Swissvale, on April 22, 1954, a son of the late Joseph R. and Anne (Benyo) Sacco, Sr.

On July 9, 1977 Joe married Nancy J. LaBruzzo; she survives.

He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

A 1972 graduate of Cochranton High School, Joe continued his education by graduating from Gannon College with a Business/Marketing Degree. For 25 years he had been employed by Bureau of National Affairs and he was currently employed by Winkle Electric in Erie. Joe enjoyed meticulously taking care of his yard as well as his garden and he took pride in his hard work. When he wasn't outdoors Joe could be found in the kitchen cooking family favorites. He enjoyed playing softball and he was an awesome coach to many. Joe loved his dogs and had many Labradors during his life. But his greatest love in life was time spent with family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, of 42 years, Joe is survived by two children Joseph "JR" Sacco III (Amber), Jennifer Pittner (Dan) both of Meadville; five grandchildren, Gabriella, Gianna, Giuliana, Ava, Lucas; a sister Janice Fox of Erie and several nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a brother Don Sacco and a nephew Michael Sacco.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 3:45 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, June 1, 2020, at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Andrew Boyd, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Joe will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
