John "Jack" Grant Bickell

John "Jack" Grant Bickell, 85, of 10810 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Park Avenue Rehab. & Nursing Center.

John was born in Delaware Co., on May 14, 1929, a son of the late Ernest M. and Edna Marie (Myers) Bickell.

An educator, John taught Physics and Chemistry at Valley Forge Military Academy and at various schools in the Philadelphia area. He earned his Bachelors and Master's Degrees from Temple University. Additionally he owned and operated a summer camp ground in New Milford. John will be remembered as a kind and generous individual.

John is survived by a sister Nancy Annemarie Chandler and her husband Don of Grand Rapids, MI, a niece and three nephews whom he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Myers Bickell.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
