Jo Ann Goodwill, 86, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, formerly of 18360 Conneaut Lake Rd., Meadville, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Jo Ann was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on February 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Stanley and Lillie (Cox) Workman.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Meadville where she served many years on the Alter Guild Committee. She also volunteered her time and talents working in the church office. Additionally she was a dedicated member of the church group that volunteered at the soup kitchen each month.

In 1950 Jo Ann graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, where she knew she had found her lifes vocation. She took great pride in her work as a registered nurse. She was employed by Meadville Medical Center, at both the Liberty St. and Grove St. locations. Jo Ann will be remembered as a kind person who was always willing to help and be a care giver for others.

Jo Ann is survived by two daughters Carol Zimmerman and her husband Steve of Saegertown, Kathy Karl of Ravenna, OH, two sons Richard A. Goodwill of Meadville, Robert Goodwill and his wife Lisa of Ft. Wayne, IN, seven grandchildren Jacob Zimmerman and his wife Melisa, Dr. Nathan Zimmerman, Jessica Karl, Natalie Karl, Tim Goodwill, Heather Sloat and her husband Michael, Bobby Goodwill, eleven great grandchildren, a brother Stan Workman and his wife Jean of North Olmstead, a sister Barbara Farmer and her husband Stu of Vero Beach, FL, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4-7 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Ave., Meadville, with Rev. Benjamin Travis, Pastor, officiating.

Jo Ann will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Ave., or Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Ave, both in Meadville, PA 16335.
