Jean Marie Bosco

Jean Marie Bosco, 65, of 16251 Bailey Rd., Meadville, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Marquette Hospice House.

Jean was born in Meadville, on March 11, 1953, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Edna G. (Callahan) Ferry, Jr.

On May 12, 1973 Jean married Gary E. Bosco; he survives.

She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church.

Jean had owned Bosco's Restaurant and Bar with her husband Gary for over 10 years. She previously had worked as a waitress for the former Evergreen Restaurant, Palace Restaurant and Grant's Restaurant located in the Meadville K-Mart. She graduated from Meadville Area High School in 1971. Jean was a member of VFW Post #2006, Vernon Central Hose Company, Vernon Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. and enjoyed bowling at Plaza Lanes in her league. Her chocolate chip cookies were second to none. Jean loved spending time with her son and grandchildren and will be remembered for always being there for her family. She will be missed.

In addition to her husband, Gary, of 45 years, Jean is survived by a son Jason Bosco (Michele) of Meadville, two grandchildren Braden and Jenna Bosco, three brothers John S. Ferry (Kasia), Kenneth M. Ferry (Tammy), Richard A. Ferry (Cheryl), all of Meadville, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a brother Robert E. Ferry.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE, where Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Fr. Tom Trocchio, Parochial Vicar officiating.

Jean will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
