Jane Marie Skornickel

Jane Marie Skornickel, 60, of Lake Worth,, Florida, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Good Samaritan Medical Center West Palm Beach, FL.

Jane was born in Meadville, on February 3, 1954, a daughter of the late Howard and Della (Orr) Palmer.

Jane had been married to George E. Freeman and consequently married Raymond Skornickel who preceded her in death.

Jane was a 1972 graduate of Saegertown High School. While living in Saegertown, she was a member of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church as well as the Hartstown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Venango Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Bible Club, Future Homemakers of America and the Pep Club.

Jane is survived by a son George Howard Freeman and his wife Amy of Woodbine, GA, four grandchildren Chloe, age 12; Hunter, age 9; Conner, age 8; Olivia, age 6; also of Woodbine, GA, her mother Della Palmer of Saegertown, three brothers Bruce Palmer and his wife Judith Ann of Saegertown, Dale Palmer and his wife Cindy of Palmyra, NJ, Joseph A. Palmer and his wife Laura of Saegertown, a sister Mary Ann Palmer of Linesville, a niece and four nephews.

In addition to her husband, Raymond Skornickel, she was preceded in death by her father, Howard Palmer.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, where a Scripture Service will be held at 5 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church, Renner Ave., Saegertown, with Fr. David Poulson, Pastor, officiating.

Jane will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
