Jack Lomison Eicher

Jack Lomison Eicher, 85, of 17701 Dawn Court, Meadville, formerly of Ridge Blvd., Connellsville, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Jack was born in Scottdale, on June 13, 1931, a son of the late Kenneth and Edith (Forest) Eicher.

On May 10, 1958 Jack married Marlene M. Kerns; she survives.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Connellsville.

After more than 30 years of service, Jack retired in 1996 from Allegheny Power System, currently known as First Energy. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. A freemason, Jack was a member of King Solomon's Lodge, Uniontown, as well as a member of Syria Shrine Patrol, Pittsburgh and the Connellsville Elks Lodge #503. He was an outdoors man who enjoyed golfing and gardening. Jack was a skilled handyman who could fix just about anything. He will be missed.

In addition to his wife, Marlene, of 58 years, Jack is survived by a daughter Jill Manning and her husband Paul of Meadville, two grandchildren Mitchell Parker, Jillian Parker both of Meadville, two brothers Kenneth S. Eicher of Michigan, James Eicher and his wife Kay of Connellsville, numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 126 E. Fairview Ave., Connellsville, on Saturday, June 25, 2016.

Jack will be laid to rest in Green Ridge Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford County Care Center, 20881 St. Hwy. 198 Saegertown, PA 16433 or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
