J. William Green

J. William Green, 85, of Cambridge Springs, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.

William was born at home in Rockdale Twp., on August 27, 1935, a son of the late J. Leon and Irene (Watson) Green.

On September 18, 1954 William married Maxine Schlosser; she preceded him in death on August 25, 2018.

He was a member of Brown Hill United Methodist Church, Rockdale Twp.

A self employed Tool and Die maker, William established Green Tooling Division. He had previously been employed by Saegertown Manufacturing Corp., and the former White Engineering, now known as Lord Corp. For many years he also worked as an auctioneer. He was a 1954 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. His hobbies included hunting.

William is survived by three children John Green (Kim) of Saegertown, Kimberly Green (Kirk King) of Erie, Jeffrey Green of Cambridge Springs, seven grandchildren Tanya Thomas, Brandon Boylan, Bradley Boylan (Francesca), Jason Green (Angela), Justin Green (Alicia), Kelly Lytle (Thomas), Michael Green, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife Maxine of 63 years, William was preceded in death by a sister Mary Andrus.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Brown Hill United Methodist Church, 22742 Wilkie Rd., Cambridge Springs, with Pastor Don McMartin officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed.

Interment will take place in Venango Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brown Hill United Methodist Church, and mailed to 22579 Wilkie Rd., Cambridge Springs, PA 16403.
