J. B. Boyd

J. B. Boyd, 64, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 19, 2022, at home.

J. B. was born in Coldwater, MS, on January 16, 1958, a son of the late George and Luella (Ramsey) Boyd, Sr.
He was affiliated with United Faith Fellowship Church of God, Meadville.

J. B. was a 1976 graduate of Meadville High School. Over the years he did all types of construction work in the Crawford and Erie County areas and loved what he did. He enjoyed weight lifting and following football, especially the Denver Broncos. J.B. will be sadly missed.

J. B. is survived by his companion of over ten years Linda Fay Harris; a son Tyronne Thrush (Candice); a step son Montell Harris, all of Meadville; grandchildren Tybreia Thrush, Clara Harris, Jahmol Basham, Diovion Price, Bryson Hall,; one great grandchild Jahmol Basham; two sisters Bobbie Hillard of Erie, Sally Turner of Memphis, TN; four brothers Jim Henry Boyd of Memphis, TN, Truman Boyd (Mattie), Albert C. Boyd, Elijah Boyd (Theresa) all of Meadville; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, J.B. was preceded in death by a daughter Dione Basham; siblings Hubert Pope, J.Q. Pope, Mary Kathryn Leverson, George Boyd, Bob Boyd, Booker T. Pope, and Eddie Mitchell.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11 AM-1 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at United Faith Fellowship Church, 561 State St., Meadville, where a Home Going Service will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Marvin Burnett officiating and Rev. Beverly Williams delivering the eulogy. For those not able to attend the service, it will be livestreamed via the funeral home facebook page (Stephen P. J. B. will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
