Helen Leona Mccracken (Brown) (Wescott)

Helen Leona McCracken (Brown) (Wescott), 76, of Meadville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at AristaCare at Park Avenue.

Helen was born in Meadville, on April 13, 1942, a daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Heckman) McCracken.

In her younger years Helen was employed by the Unity Center in Meadville and attended St. Paul's Reformed Church. She was the second class to graduate from the then new, Meadville High School. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She equally enjoyed looking after her grandchildren and the children of others and was fondly called "mom" by many individuals. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, taking care of her animals, and she had a passion for flower gardening. Her greatest love in life was watching her children and grandchildren grow and following their sports activities. She will be sadly missed by all.

Helen is survived by five children Brian Wescott, Michael Wescott, Jody Brown, Buffy Brown, Jaime Brown; Shane Ream and Tasha Brown who were like her own children; her grandchildren Brenner and Rashawn Wescott, Cory, Justin and Casey Wescott, Jordyn Garrity, Paige and Camryn Fabela, Sidney and Jack Brown, Bailey, Journey and Music Brown, Maxwell Brown, Olivia and Alexander Kinder, Julius, Caden Bryce, Mae and Eve Ream, Daphne Perry; two great grandchildren Caleb and Owen Wescott.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Wescott Fabela.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4-6 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Larry Wofford of Beacon Liberty Street Church of God in Christ officiating.
