Gregory Darnell Jenkins

Gregory Darnell Jenkins, 54, of 1521 W. 54th St., Erie, passed away Wednesday, October 17th, 2012, at Erie VA Medical Center.
Gregory was born in Meadville on April 15, 1958, a son of Marcelline (Walker) Jenkins and the late R.B. Moody.
Gregory spent most of his childhood in the Meadville area, which he always called home. He attended Meadville schools until the family moved to Erie. He enrolled at Erie Vocational Technical School where he obtained skills in the electronic and building trades. He was a US Army Veteran and was honorably discharged on August 20, 1976. For several years he worked at American Meter. Gregory lived a quiet, solitary life, spending much of his leisure time fishing. He became a skilled fisherman, a champion pool player and talented photographer.
Gregory is survived by this mother Marcelline Jenkins of Denver, CO, two brothers David Jenkins of Edinboro, Mac Moody of Meadville, three sisters Aleda Bass of Meadville, Rev. Dr. Darlene Jenkins of Scranton, Beverly Jenkins of Denver, CO, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Leroy and a sister Brenda.
A private Graveside Service with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will be held followed by interment in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
